How does this work?

There are several ways to 'normalize' the date/time in CRM to make it operate like a 'dateonly' type field.  How does this plugin work, what is it doing on the back end (how should we alter reports if we use this plugin), etc?  Also, do you envision this getting registered on retrieve, retrievemultiple, create, update, execute?

Thanks!

On create or update of the profiled date’s - the plugin changes the time on the datetime to 12pm UTC. That way when a date is converted to a users timezone (-12 hours to +11 hours (most of the UTC range)), the time is most likely to still be in the same day that was intended by the creating/updating user.

When the time shows up places it will be different for users in different time zones. The best handling for reports, etc is to avoid showing the time whenever possible.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
